snowazaleaMy doll-sharing efforts over the past year (which admittedly have not been much at all) have gone to working on my website (winter-light.net/light) and also updating my Instagram (in_winter_light),
Since I last wrote (May 2020), I got two more dolls. One is Dream of Doll Tender Bee-a, Ophelia, very much an old friend.

Over winter break, Ophelia and I bonded on a soul level and measured how the other changed. We have not seen each other since 2008, and we are the same people, but there are depths now visible in each of us that were not apparent before. Before, Ophelia was a kind of second self for me. Now, she is a spiritual guide.
In 2006, I wrote of how Ophelia remembered her past life and made peace with the circumstances of her life and creation. The rough draft, under revision, is here.
Now, Ophelia is able to see into the future, as well as the past, and knows who she will be and what she will experience when she is reincarnated into her next life. She is ready to share all of that in a new story.
My other doll is on his way. I have not decided on his name yet. He is a DikaDoll Jose head that I will use on an existing body. The body currently belongs to Josian, who I haven't done much with... I guess ever... since 2015. I am really excited to have a new doll character to work on. His aesthetic will be late-90's to early-00's alternative rock. I had developed another character, Courtney, around the looks and music of the singer Rob Thomas for Matchbox 20, but Courtney is too mature and serious to fit this sculpt. So this doll will be a younger late-90s-early-00s boy styled after Rob Thomas with some early-00's emo styles as well.
Next week is Spring Break, so I'm hoping to have a clearer mental space to do some sewing for the new boy.
